The mountain is considered to be one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains between Kufstein and Innsbruck. Hecherhaus in Schwaz in Tyrol

Hecherhaus (1,887 m)

Those who don’t enjoy hiking, but still want to see a unique view, should visit the Hecherhaus. The popular excursion destination lies right next to the mountain station of the KellerjochBahn, making it also well-suited to disabled and elderly people. On the sun terrace, you can marvel at a wonderful view of the summits of the Karwendel mountain range and the Inn Valley.

Your reward: An incomparable 360° panoramic view of the highest Austrian and German mountain peaks, including the Großglockner and Zugspitze.

The Kellerjochkapelle was consecrated in 1931 – 22 years before the construction of the KellerjochBahn. The place of worship was built by the 1st Schwaz Rifle Company. Even now, the marksmen still lovingly take care of the maintenance.  The path to the chapel on the Kellerjoch is technically demanding and only suitable for mountaineers with experience. Early risers can enjoy a stunning sunrise, as there is no other mountain blocking the view into the distance.
